All participants must carry a backpack weighing at least 3,5 kg (7.7 lbs) throughout the race.

There is strong wind and snow in the mountains, and it is considered unsafe for skiers to be in the mountains.

Due to snow and windy weather in the mountains, start times will be delayed for SkøyteBirken kl. 09.30 and TurBirken 09.45. Bus transport will be scheduled with ordinary start time. Please board the bus that you have booked to get to Rena.

Birken cycle festival 2020 is cancelled.
The Norwegian authorities have recently postponed the limit of 500 participants for sports and cultural events to September 1st.

Due to the Covid-19 situation Birken run festival is cancelled 2020.

How is this handled by Birken?

Birken Skifestival 2020 will not take place - due to the spread of the coronavirus.

- That was a tough one:-) Definitely a roadie day out there across the Norwegian plateau. Great atmosphere here at the @birken_no and there was some serious horse power out there.
